Deme Mekras
CEO, Managing Partner
Deme Mekras is the CEO and Founder of MSP Group LLC. He is the visionary responsible for all corporate directives and personnel. Additionally, he remains supremely active as the firm’s most accomplished investment sales broker, he is a multifamily expert, and has closed more than $1 Billion in commercial deals in his time. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Prior to founding MSP Group, Deme held the post of Regional Managing Partner at Franklin Street, a real estate firm with offices throughout the southeast US. In 2012, he led the opening of Franklin Street’s Miami office and was charged with establishing the company in the local multifamily market. Deme achieved this objective during his time there, posting more than $150,000,000 in closed deals, bringing brand recognition to the previously unknown firm in the South Florida multifamily arena.
Before being recruited as an equity partner by Franklin Street, Deme was a Vice President of Investments at Marcus & Millichap, one of the largest investment real estate firms in the world. It was at Marcus & Millichap that Deme learned “the ropes” of the investment brokerage game. He was a quick study, earning the Rookie of the Year award in 2003. During his time there, Deme was promoted up the ranks and earned the coveted National Achievement Award multiple times for his stellar production.
Before getting into commercial real estate, Deme cut his teeth on sales in the tech world, selling telecommunication services to small businesses throughout Miami. First with Southeast Telephone company and thereafter at MCI Worldcom. It was in these roles that he learned that hard work and tenacity lead to results. As a brand-new salesperson, he spent his days pounding the phones, beating the pavement and literally knocking on doors all over South Florida.
Prior to entering the workforce, Deme graduated from Southern Methodist University (1998) where he earned his Bachelors in Business Administration, majoring in Organizational Behavior and Business Policy with a double minor in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Deme grew up in the areas of Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. He attended Carver and West Lab elementary schools, Ransom Everglades middle and high schools before graduating from Coral Gables Senior High. He is not only a permanent resident of Miami, but he is a second-generation Miami native!
Sam Mekras
Senior Investment Associate
Sam brings 10-years and nearly $600 million in transaction experience to the table. He currently holds the title of Senior Investment Associate. In addition to being a founding member of MSP Group, Sam was instrumental in developing MSP Group’s proprietary financial models, proposal templates and marketing materials. Sam began his career as a financial analyst, first at Marcus & Millichap, then at Franklin Street and ultimately at MSP Group, where he transitioned into a full-time sales associate. Sam specializes in multifamily properties with an emphasis on South Dade; so much so that he has been labeled the Leading Force in South Dade!
Born in Durham, North Carolina to parents that are both native Miamians, the family returned to its roots, moving back to Miami just before Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Sam grew up and currently resides in the South Miami area. He attended Kenwood K-8 Center and later graduated from Florida Christian High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (2013) and Master of Science in Finance (2014) from Florida International University in Miami.
David Webel
Financial Analyst
David joined the MSP Group team in early 2022 and currently holds the title of Investment Associate/Financial Analyst. He is a licensed salesperson with the State of Florida and is responsible for servicing client listings, data mining, financial underwriting and market studies. During his time at MSP Group, David has underwritten more than $1.3 Billion in properties and has transaction experience in nearly $50,000,000 in closed deals.
David was born in Miami and grew up in the Coral Gables area, one of Miami’s most famed communities. After graduating from Coral Gables Senior High, he later went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Furman University (2020) and his Master of Science in Finance from Creighton University (2022). Having played NCAA Division 1 baseball for both schools over 5 years, being a Team Captain and once earning the recognition of Big East Player of the Week, David applies his team approach, strong work ethic and personal accountability in all of his professional contributions.
Antonieta Zerpa
Marketing Coordinator
Antonieta joined MSP Group in 2024 and currently serves as Marketing Coordinator. In her role, she oversees marketing initiatives, social media, and CRM operations. Since joining the team, she has been instrumental in modernizing MSP’s digital presence, driving increased visibility and engagement across platforms, and optimizing CRM tools to support client relationships and transactions.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, and raised between Caracas and Brooklyn, New York, Antonieta brings a global perspective and a creative edge to her work. She holds certifications in Neuro-linguistic programming, PNL Coaching and Styling and Personal Image, and has prior experience working with architects and attorneys, which shaped her passion for branding, design, and client-facing communications.
Fluent in English and Spanish with conversational knowledge of German, Antonieta leverages her diverse background and multilingual skills to enhance MSP Group’s marketing strategies. Outside of the office, she is also a singer and musical theatre actress, further reflecting her creativity and dynamic energy.

Agents at the Company enjoy highly competitive commission splits and a best-in-class, company-paid suite of support services. MSP Group is looking to immediately hire a senior level commercial real estate salesperson or team that possess the following attributes and experience:

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of investment sales experience in South Florida, with an emphasis on retail, industrial or office
- Minimum of $100,000,000 in documented closed deals
- Minimum of 5 client recommendations that can be verified
